Your comfort zone is not comfortable. By definition, comfort is defined as content and undisturbed; at ease. And content is defined as satisfied with what one is or has; not wanting more or anything else. If that is true, by definition your comfort zone would be a place of total and absolute fulfillment. If you’ve been talking about living your dreams but then follow it up with all the reasons why you can’t start that business, write that book or ask for that promotion, then fear controls your comfort zone, and your life.
What’s comfortable about breathing but suffocating your purpose, your gifts and your dreams?
What’s comfortable about living in fear?
What’s comfortable about settling?
What’s comfortable about waiting for someone to give you permission to be YOU – amazing and powerful?
What you fear will control every aspect of your life until you decide you’ve had enough. And the truth of the matter is fear lies! Will you begin 2013 with the same mindset that kept you from achieving your dreams in 2012? Or have you had enough of living in fear, guilt and a lack of confidence?
2013 doesn’t have to be a repeat of 2012, 2011 and 2010. Now is the time to breathe life into your dreams and cut all ties with fear!
