If you’re going to achieve any level of success as an entrepreneur there’s some words you’ll have to let go of. Often times these words are used out of habit, without consideration for the reality they create. One word in particular is rooted in self sabotage, fear and indecision. When used it sounds like you’re in action and moving forward but the truth is you’re delaying your goals and dreams because of it.
That word is the word “try”. It’s used to hide and protect yourself from something you think might happen because it happened in the past. Now there are instances where you’ll ‘try out” a particular product, service or marketing campaign to see how the market responds. In that case, you’re actually testing the market.
But when it comes to building your business, serving your clients and making money, you should stop trying… and just do it! Some things will work perfectly and others will not. But you won’t know unless you stop trying and start doing. That business you’re trying to start, that book you’re trying to write and that product you’re trying to create will be just a dream unless you start doing the work.
When you say you’re going to “try” to do something you’re really saying you’re not committed to doing it. So, are you committed to building a profitable business? Are you committed to doing whatever it takes?
