Who knows why I decided to do it but I went zip-lining as part of my birthday celebration. There are many other things I could have chosen to do but for some reason I wanted to push the limits and do something I’d never done before. Well, it wasn’t until I saw the canyon that I really understood what I was getting myself into. By now, the little voice in my head was speaking loud and clear.
“Are you crazy?” “Yes, you must be crazy.”
“This looks really dangerous.”
“What if you fall?”
Deep down I wasn’t going to let the voices in my head win. I was there to zipline and that is what I intended to do. As I stood there waiting my turn on the first zipline, I realized that I had two options – go for it or go home. Interesting enough, these are the same options we face as business owners each and every day. We can take action or we can remain the same. We can do the work or we can watch others achieve their goals.
Simply put – if you take action, you get results. They may not always be the results you desire but you have feedback that will allow you to make adjustments and hit your goal. If you don’t take action, nothing changes. Is that what you want?
The one thing that’s standing between you and the success you desire is action. Oftentimes, fear is the culprit. In what ways has fear kept you from taking action and moving your business to the next level? Has it kept you from increasing your fees? Has it kept you from asking for the sale?
No doubt zip-lining is far more dangerous than running a business, however, the drive and desire to succeed is the same.
I had a goal and that was to zipline. Was I scared? Yes. BUT I was not going to let what seemed impossible keep me from experiencing success… and neither should you!
You can have results or excuses, but not both. You decide! The choice is yours.

Ziplining is very interesting. I went Ziplining in Costa Rica a few years back and yes it is quite the experience!
