By now you’ve probably spent some time reflecting on the past year and identified what worked, what didn’t work and what you’d like to see change in 2013. But before you create your goals for the next year there’s one thing you must do. And yes, there’s still plenty of time to do it. This one thing will set the course for a year of success, growth and breakthroughs. That one thing is to decide.
Decide to succeed!
Decide to achieve your goals!
Decide that it’s your time!
Decide to keep going!
Decide to go beyond!
Decide to be the best you can be!
Decide to win!
Goals require action to become a reality. But when you decide to succeed you remove the internal double dutch and negotiation. When you create a goal with an “if then” mindset you send a signal to your brain to achieve this goal only if a certain set of conditions exist. In addition, an “if then” mindset usually results in you giving up before long before you get started. The limits you create in your mind are excuses that sabotage your goals. Set an intention to succeed no matter what your goal is.
What will you decide to do, be and have in 2013? It’s your choice. Decide first and success is sure to follow.
