There are many reasons why you may decide to hire a business coach to help grow your business. But it’s not something I recommend if you’re not willing to do this one thing. Keep reading, I’ll tell you what that is.
First, let’s take a look at some reasons why it may be time to hire a business coach.
- You aren’t getting the results you want.
- You’re making money in your business but you’re not sure where it’s going.
- You’re frustrated and not sure what actions to take to grow your business.
- You’re good at what you do but you don’t have a plan to get the results you desire.
- You don’t know how to turn your expensive hobby into a profitable business.
Whether your reason for wanting to hire a business coach is listed above or not, let discuss what you’re agreeing to, as the client. Your coach may help you develop a marketing plan, increase your sales, hire a team, lower expenses and boost your profits, but none of that will happen unless you take action and implement the plan.
Just like in sports, the coach maps out the game plan then the players are responsible for running the plays. In other words, the players are responsible for taking action. The coach may decide to change the game plan if the results aren’t as expected. But that’s only after there’s enough data to determine that the game plan needs to change.
I really hate to be the bearer of bad news but if you hired a business coach and thought that was enough to grow your business…that’s not true. You have to do the work. You have to take action – consistent action.
I would like to walk in the gym hire a personal trainer and leave but that won’t change my body just like hiring a business coach and not doing the work won’t get you the business success, results and profits you desire.
So, before you hire a business coach, know that you must take action if you’re going to get results.
I agree. Great Post
