Albert Einstein said, “Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life’s coming attractions.” Kids are experts at using their imagination. It’s something that as adults we don’t tap into often enough to create the success we desire. Kids can go from doctor to warrior to detective all within a matter of seconds. And they do it pretty well because they use their imagination. If a child needs a police officer to go after the bad guy, they’ll become a police officer. It’s that simple. They don’t allow thoughts of doubt and fear keep them from becoming whoever their heart desires in that moment.
As adults we don’t use our imagination nearly as much as we did as kids. Many of us are waiting for something to happen without a clear vision of what that something is. We want to make more money, grow our business and enjoy a life of success and freedom. But what does that look like? What does more money look like? Is it an extra $1,000 or an extra $100,000? What does growing your business look like? Is it more clients, more products, or adding members to your team? What will you be doing when you achieve that vision? What will you experience in your life and business? These are all questions to be considered when you define and create your vision of success.
Your vision will guide the actions necessary to achieve your goals. If your vision isn’t clear then your actions will not be aligned with achieving your goals. Your vision should inspire and motivate you to keep going in the face of challenges. It’s that imagine of your life and business that makes you smile on the inside.
Be a kid again and use your imagination to create the success you desire in your life and business. See it. Create it. Live it. That’s what vision is all about.
