Albert Einstein said, “Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life’s coming attractions.” Kids are the best at using their imagination. It’s something that as adults we don’t tap into often enough to create the success we desire. Kids can go from doctor to warrior to detective all within a matter of seconds. And they do it pretty well because they’re not afraid to take action and do the work to get things done. If a child needs a police officer to go after the bad guy, they’ll become a police officer. It’s that simple. For me, I became the CEO, CFO, COO and client when I was a kid pretending to run my own business sitting in my dad’s office playing on a 10 key machine. (Learn more about my story in this video) Kids don’t allow thoughts of doubt and fear to keep them from becoming whoever they need to be in that moment to carry out their goals.
As adults we don’t use our imagination nearly as much as we did as kids. Many of us are waiting for something to happen without a clear vision of what that something is. If your vision isn’t clear then your actions will be random and lack the focus necessary to achieve your goals.
We want to make more money, grow our business and enjoy a life of success and freedom. But what does that look like? What does more money look like? Is it an extra $1,000 or an extra $100,000? What does growing your business look like? Is it more clients, more products, or adding members to your team? What will you experience in your life and business? These are all questions to be considered when you define and create your vision of success.
Vision is good. But the reward comes when you take action, consistent action — day after day.
See it. Create it. Live it.
