What stops you from achieving your goals and dreams?
Who stops you from achieving your goals and dreams?
I hate to break the news to you but it’s YOU! Yes, I said it. You. I know that may be a hard pill to swallow but it’s the truth. I didn’t like the way my medicine tasted either. But guess what I did? I changed my diagnosis by taking 100% responsibility for the good, the bad and the ugly that existed in my life. There were times when I simply didn’t want to face the truth. If I wasn’t getting the results the only person I could blame was me. I guess you could say that I had to “check” myself. It wasn’t an easy thing to do at times but absolutely necessary in order to emerge and live the l life I wanted.
As I begin to think about the accountability partners, coaches, mentors and personal trainers I’ve had, I’m grateful that they saw the determination, the passion and greatness that existed within me despite my whining, complaining and sexy excuses. Believe me, I had some really good ones.
When you think about your life, your business and your career, are you holding yourself accountable? When you don’t achieve the results you desire, who do you blame? Is it possible that because you let yourself off the hook that you also let your team off the hook? And as a result, you still don’t have the profits and clients you want. Again, I have to ask you, who do you blame? Who sets the standard of excellence for you?
I encourage you to change your diagnosis and stand in your power because it’s up to YOU to create the life, business and career that you want. When things don’t go according to plan, don’t blame others. You give away your power when you allow someone else’s actions or lack thereof shape your life, business and career. If you find yourself frustrated with the results you’ve gotten up until this point, then it may very well be time for a “check – up”.
During my live event, happening Nov. 3rd, I’ll be working with a small group of entrepreneurs to do just that. We’re going to fully examine their business and life and change their diagnosis with a solid plan to create massive results and success for the remainder of 2012 and in to 2013. Stay tuned for more details!
