What stops you from achieving your goals?
Who stops you from achieving your goals?
I hate to break the news to you but it’s YOU! Yes, I said it. You. I know that may be a hard pill to swallow but it’s the truth. I didn’t like the way my medicine tasted either. But guess what I did? I changed my diagnosis by taking 100% responsibility for the good, the bad and the ugly that existed in my life and business. There were times when I simply didn’t want to face the truth. If I wasn’t getting the results the only person I could blame was me.
When I wasn’t making money and achieving my goals, there was no one to blame but me. Of course I wanted to blame everyone else but I guess you could say I had to “check” myself. It wasn’t an easy thing to do at times but absolutely necessary in order to create the results I wanted.
As I begin to think about the accountability partners, coaches, mentors and personal trainers I’ve had, I’m grateful that they saw the determination, the passion and greatness that existed within me despite my whining, complaining and sexy excuses. Believe me, I had some really good ones.
When you think about your business, how are you holding yourself accountable? When you don’t achieve the results you desire, who do you blame? Is it possible that because you let yourself off the hook that you also let your support team off the hook? And guess what? As a result, you still haven’t generated the profits and clients you desire. Again, I have to ask you, who do you blame?
I encourage you to change your diagnosis and stand in your power because it’s up to YOU to create the life and business you want. When things don’t go according to plan, don’t blame others. You give away your power when you blame someone else’s actions or lack thereof on the results you’re getting in your business. If you find yourself frustrated with your results and blaming others, it may very well be time for you to have a heart to heart with the woman or man in the mirror. Your results are your responsibility.
