Fast food, microwave dinners, CVS minute clinics, and DVRs – you name it, everything is speeding up. We’re all demanding and expecting to get what we want faster than ever. No one wants to wait anymore. And why should we when we can get it faster, right?
Society has conditioned us to believe that faster is better. Do it now, get it now before you miss a big opportunity. In some instances that may be true. However, when it comes to your business, you can’t pop it into the microwave for 2 minutes and expect a 6 or 7 figure business. The idea is appealing but that’s not realistic.
Many new and seasoned small business owners want mountaintop success without putting in the time, energy and effort to create mountaintop moments. The journey up the mountain is where you grow, learn and become the business owner your clients need you to be. Businesses are built in the journey. It’s where the strategy and action plan for massive success, results and profits are created.
One area that keeps business owners from moving forward is their resistance to let go of the challenges they faced in the past. The past didn’t happen to limit you, it happened to propel you forward and position you for the next level.
As you take the journey up the mountain to becoming a 6 or 7 figure business owner, remember to celebrate your wins and successes. Don’t wait until the end of the year to celebrate, find ways to celebrate your accomplishments throughout the year. Set monthly goals and decide how you will celebrate.
And remember, there are no quickies in business. Profits don’t just happen, you must do the work. In other words, you must take action and lots of it!
