Success isn’t an accident. It’s created by a series of intentional, focused action steps. These aren’t actions that you take for a couple of days or a couple of weeks and stop. That won’t lead to success. But what will lead to success?
First, you must clearly define what success means and looks like for you. Be very, very specific. Vague thoughts won’t create a clear view of success. You must know exactly what success looks and feels like. Otherwise, how will you know when you’ve achieved it?
Even with a clear picture of success you may find yourself struggling to push through and take action towards your goals. You may even find yourself taking action and feeling as though you’re moving forward when in reality you’re going in circles. That used to be me.
Before making a decision, I would analyze the analysis that analyzed the analysis that analyzed the analysis. Confused by that last sentence? I know I am! Even after all that analyses I was still unclear about what actions to take. I was afraid to make a mistake, afraid of failing, afraid of what others would think.
Then I finally realized that it wasn’t my circumstances or situations that were stopping me. It was me. I had to learn how to get out of my own way. Everything you desire already exists within you. You don’t have to go chasing after it. It becomes your reality when you take consistent action, no matter what.
Success is unique to each of us don’t worry about how others define it. Define and create it for yourself.
