“People take action when they’re ready.” This is one of the key points that Scott Schilling discussed with me during The Turning Point Telesummit for Entrepreneurs. During the interview, Scott shared many other tips and strategies to demystify the selling myth and ways you can accelerate the sales cycle. Many would say that they don’t like to sell and some would say that they love it, well, those individuals are the ones that understand that selling is about education. — “Heart Centered Selling” defined – Education through communication without manipulation. Understand your clients needs, wants and desires then deliver a solution. Be an educator when it comes to selling your products and services.
— Quality of Life Merchants – We’re in the people business. Our task on Earth is to improve the life of anyone we come into contact with. Have a true heart and desire to serve others.
— Ask this one question to expedite or accelerate the relationship with prospective customers and clients – What would it take to make hiring me (or working with me) the easiest decision you’ve ever made. Listen for their response then do it.
—- Network to connect – When attending networking events for the first time, offer a free gift versus selling right out the gate. Keep in mind that people do business with those that they Know, Like and Trust.
— Be an A.S.S.E.T. in your relationships – Be “A Serious Servant Every Time”. You’ll be taken care of when you come from a place of service.
