As we begin the 2nd Q of 2013, do you know how close you are to achieving your 2013 goals? Do you know what actions to take to ensure you hit those goals?
Guess what? It is possible to achieve your goals. However, it’s impossible to get the results you want without first knowing exactly where you are. Things don’t change until we change how we look at them. Society has conditioned us to believe that problems, challenges and failures are bad. I disagree. They are opportunities for growth and lessons that help us shift gears and discover a better path.
There’s a difference between wanting things to change and choosing to be the change. See, the change that most often needs to occur is within our minds. It’s not our circumstances or situations that need to change, it’s us. We must learn to focus our minds on the success we desire. Not the things we don’t want. There’s a disease that overtakes the minds and destiny of many, that disease is, Lack-tanitis.
Lack-tanitis often goes undetected because we believe the things that happen in our lives and businesses are outside of our control. And, that’s simply not true. Lack-tanitis affects your ability to achieve the results you desire because your mind is deeply rooted in lack, excuses and not having enough. This in turn affects the words you speak and the reality you live.
So what are the typical symptoms of Lack-tanitis? This list isn’t all inclusive but below is a few key symptoms:
- Difficulty focusing
- Unclear or no action plan
- Fear in all forms (failure, rejection, success)
- Desires and actions out of alignment
Don’t worry. Lack-tanitis can be cured but you must first know what isn’t working and then create a plan to hit your goals. If you’re serious about building and growing a profitable business, then you must laser focus on what you want and take consistent action to ensure you succeed.
Focus (on what you want) + Action (consistent) = Massive Success (Results)
